A project is complete when it starts working for you, rather than you working for it. – Scott Allen
Agile Methodology helps the teams to release the segments as they get completed. Then, the teams demonstrate whether the segments released are successful or not. If they are not, the flaws are fixed as soon as possible. This reduces the risk of failures at the large-scale and the project life cycle continuous throughout.
The Agile management team works on the key pointers such as – continuous adaptation, rapid feedback, and quality analysis best practices. The use of practices including continuous integration and continuous deployment helps in automating the speed of release of the products. Also, the APM guides the teams to evaluate their time and cost while working on the projects. Instead of using project milestones and Gantt charts, the burndown, velocity, and burn up charts are being used up by the team to measure their work and track their progress.
The participation or presence of the project manager is even not required in Agile project management. A project manager is required only in cases of traditional project delivery methods such as a waterfall model wherein the manager needs to manage the project scope, budget, quality, some key elements, and other essential requirements. However, when we talk about APM, the role of a project manager is divided among the team members. We cannot say that project managers have become obsolete in APM because many companies still rely on them for Agile projects, Agile Scrum training, and Agile training. When a complex or a larger project comes up, the organizations transform the project manager’s role to a coordinator role, which in turn makes the coordinator completely responsible for the completion of that project.
Sometimes, Agile requires other layers of management as well for the projects, for instance, they sometimes call for a scrum master who can guide them through the completion of the project.
Agile project management wants the team members to collaborate among themselves and the users in order to make the project a complete success. The team members should be able to communicate deeply with each other to keep the projects on track and take appropriate actions at correct times to match their pace with the delivery schedule of the project.
With the onset of the 21st century, a rapid development of Agile project management technology was seen for the software development projects. The Agile scrum methodology also evolved at the same time. The scrum methodology helped to connect the development team to the product owner and collaboratively, they worked to create a prioritized list of features, a product backlog, functionalities and their fixes in order to build a successful software system.
We cannot call Agile project management as the boss of software development, rather it helps to facilitate and coordinate the resources required for a speedy software development. With APM, the decisions are made faster and a project progresses rapidly. The agile project management system also helps in demonstrating the leadership skills among the team members and makes them work in an integrated manner giving rise to successful project completion. Many times the teams work without a project manager, which makes them more extravagant to complete the work in an efficient manner delivering great outputs.
Agile Management helps to make the decisions quickly. Also, agile methods have excellent security tips to ensure the quality of the products delivered is always unique and best. Nowadays, many Agile scrum certification courses are going on, which builds your professional knowledge of agile methods with scrum practices. In software development, Agile methodologies are very useful. Thus, Agile training with Agile Scrum training is very useful if one wants to go into software development field.
